May's Big Day

It was a Sunday, and Barley asked Lilia and Popurri if they would watch May for him, because he had to deliver some beef to Ellen in town. The two women happily agreed and decided that Popurri would take May swimming. As May changed into her bathing suit, Popurri watched Barley, who seemed positively skipping up the road, disappear from view.

"Mom," she said, "I thought Ellen couldn't have beef because of her fragile health."

Lilia glanced sideways at her daughter. "She can't have beef...orally, dear."

"Does that mean she can only suck it through a straw or something?" Popurri asked innocently. May looked at Popurri as if she was the dumbest person alive.

Rick entered the house and stood in the open doorway. His eyes glared at the sight before him. May and Popurri were in the kitchen in bathing suits. Both wore bikinis. While Popurri's was very pretty and becoming, May's bikini was pink with blue polka-dots and furry pom-poms all over it. It also seemed to be a tad small for her.

Rick stomped over to his mother, Lilia, who was working in the kitchen making a lunch for the girls. "Mom!" he whined, stomping his foot, "What is this?!"

"The girls are going swimming dear." Lilia said warmly. She handed a basket to popurri.

"I know! but what is she," he nodded sideways at May, "doing in MY bathing suit?!"

"Calm down dear," Lilia said gently, "the poor thing needed to borrow a bathing suit."

"But that was the one I was going to wear to greet Kai!" Rick fumed. However, he saw that the situation was hopeless. He turned and headed back for the chicken coop. He had some deliveries to make as well.

everyone's so sad....I HATE THAT! so I will persist in being goofy!

May's Big Day Part 2

it was hot and sunny when popurri and may arrived at the beach. Gray greeted them as they approached the dock.
"Hi guys!" he said. "May! what a pretty bathing suit! I helped Rick pick one out just like it!"
May was stunned. "You...helped. ok!" She could have sworn Rick said he had wanted to show the bathing suit off for Kai...

The girls set up their blanket and weighed it down with the picnic basket. As they did so, Rick approached them. He was also wearing a bikini...but it appeared to be made of chicken feathers...somehow May knew that Rick's chickens were feeling a major draft right now...

"I had to improvise thanks to you two!" Rick hissed at them as he passed them by. He walked straight up to Kai and began to talk and laugh with him. Gray saw this and angrily stomped over. From a distance May could see that a heated conversation was going on, and suddenly Gray slapped Kai. Kai retaliated by grabbing Gray's hair, and soon Gray had a handful of Kai's hair and both were spinning in circles squealing "ow ow ow ow ow!"

Rick separated the two, and they both turned on him. A brawl ensued and Harris had to be called to break it up.

It was then that Cliff entered the scene. He trotted onto the beach happily with a tray full of pink cupcakes. "hi!" he said happily to Popurri. "I baked these for your brother! is he here yet?" Popurri pointed to where Rick, Kai, Gray, and Harris were standing. Kai glowered at the sight of them.

May's Big Day Part 3

it was about this time that Ellen came onto the scene. As always, she had on her sexiest thong bikini and was shamelessly flirting with all of the men. Of course she flirted here and there, but everyone knew she was waiting for one man and one man only. Barley appeared at the beach entrance. His speedo molded to his lower body, he strutted proudly onto the beach. Ellen adjusted her bikini top. If this coot played his cards right, he would definitely be staying over way after "wheel of fortune" that night! Ellen's legs couldn't walk, but she could still wrap them around just about anything!

Barley soon stood before Ellen. she couldn't help but notice the huge bulge in the front of his speedo. He saw her staring, reached slowly down the front of them to grab his dentures out of them and put them back in his mouth so that he could speak properly. he knew tonight Ellen's clapper system was going to go haywire once they'd had their prunes and it started getting later than their usual bedtime. yes sir, by 5:30 p.m. they would be in another world.
"Fancy a swim?" he asked with a wink.
"sure..fancy coming over tonight?" Ellen said returning the wink.
"of course. this new laxative's kicking in and I'm gonna be rearing to go tonight!" Barley said.
"why wait until tonight?" Ellen cooed at him.
"I'll get the Viagra and my milker" Barley whispered.
"I'll grab my knitting needles and the KY" Ellen whispered back. then the two love birds parted ways.

May stood staring this whole time. she tugged on popurri's bathing suit, and popurri, who had been watching the scene between her brother and his "mistresses" turned to see what was the matter.

"what is it may?" she asked, a little impatiently.
"what is my grandpa doing?" May asked in a frightened voice.
"nothing he's....oh my..." and with that, Popurri scooped may up in her arms and away from that somewhat disturbing sight...

May's Big Day Part 4

Popurri still carried a trembling May in her arms. She quickly exited the beach.
"B...b..ut I thought we were going to swim.." May sniffed.
"We will, sweetie, I just think you need to calm down a little bit first, ok?" she gave May a kiss on the cheek and shifted her a little bit more comfortably in her arms. where could she go?
"Sasha and Jeff's! if anyone has a calming influence it's Sasha, and Jeff was so sweet! they'll be the best thing for her!" Popurri thought, and soon she was at their store.
Sasha greeted them warmly as they entered the store. Popurri sat May on the counter and hurriedly explained the situation to Sasha and Jeff in whispers.
"oh, the poor thing!" Sasha whispered, "don't worry, I know just the thing!" Then she turned to May. "May, would you like to hear the story of how Jeff and I met?" May rubbed her eyes and nodded.
"Um...dear, I don't think that's the best..." Jeff began.
"Jeff, sit!" Sasha said, and Jeff sat.

"It was a beautiful spring day. I decided to go on a picnic by the pond, so I packed a lovely picnic basket. It had all the essentials for a picnic. sandwiches, some cake, Jack Daniels, vodka, the gasoline my father used to run his tractor, some excellent stuff I had scored off of won the day before, tea, and crumpets. It was thursday, so I wore my usual outfit of black leather and chains, which was perfect considering the beautiful weather. I got trashed pretty quickly and in my stupor threw an empty bottle into the goddess pond. she angrily popped out of the pond and clonked me over the head with it and I was knocked out. it was then that Jeff appeared. He rolled me over so that if I vomited, I wouldn't choke on it...

I woke up and when I rolled over I saw him standing over me. I know he wasn't the type of guy that I would normally fall for, but he just looked so handsome in his grandmother's Sunday dress, that I couldn't resist him..."

May stared wideyed. Popurri's mouth was hanging open. As Popurri again took May in her arms and left the store, Jeff saw them off. "Tell your brother to come visit some time! we can stuff a turkey together!" he called after them.

well, it's about time Popurri made a visit to the sprites herself!

May's Big Day Part 5

Popurri hurried away from the store. There had to be someplace safe around here for poor May. Suddenly Popurri had a brainstorm. It nearly knocked her unconscious, but as she got used to the whole "thinking" process, Popurri gained control of herself and hurried towards the hut behind the church. The harvest sprites! It was perfect!

Popurri knocked on the door and was admitted inside by Chef. "Hello!" she said pleasantly. "May here has had a bit of a traumatic day, and I was wondering if we could stay a while?"
"Of course budum!" Hoggy said. "Would you like some tea? it's very good."
"it's the relaxation tea that Mary likes so much. it's much more relaxing than regular tea. perhaps it's the fragrant aroma..." Nappy said.
"perhaps it's the freshly picked tea leaves..." Staid wondered.
"it's the weed." Aqua replied with a smile. "works wonders!"
"er...no thanks." Popurri said. she began to think this was a bad idea, but as thinking was relatively new to her, she figured the best thing to do was to stay where she was until a more pleasant thought came along. "how about telling us about the work you've been doing recently!" she suggested as a change of subject.
"Oh! we were working over at Duke and Manna's today!" Chef said cheerfully.
"Manna! wow, she's attention starved with Duke out all the time!" Aqua laughed.
"Yeah. Duke leaving all those empty bottles lying around! she must hate it!" said Hoggy.
"oh no! don't you worry, she makes good use of them!" Chef cried.
"geez! hasn't she ever heard of recycling?!" Staid exclaimed in disgust.
"better them than me!" Nappy grumbled.
"You?!" the remaining sprites asked.
"yeah, so watch out, all of you!" Nappy replied.
"I don't like fish!" Staid yelped.
"I'm afraid of the dark!" Hoggy whined.
May turned to Popurri. "What would Manna do with empty bottles if she doesn't recycle them?"
"er...build ships in them!" Popurri cried, scooping May up once again.
"yeah!" Nappy scoffed. "those thing take a voyage down under alright!"
Popurri ran out of the hut. she decided that Duke and Manna's would not be her next stop.
